
RDPHCA’s governing documents specify that the Members hold an annual election by secret ballot to choose a Board of Directors; that Board will then guide the HOA through the coming year.
Complex new State Codes for HOA elections became effective January 1, 2020. The Codes lengthened the election time for us by approximately 90 days, quadrupled the number of notices we have to send out (while repeating much of the same information)—and almost all of this must be delivered via the US Postal Service. Our budget has taken a big hit; Board Members’ time has also taken a big hit because of the background preparations involved in getting the notices and packets out in a timely manner.

January 27: Ballots, Annual Meeting Agenda, Draft of 2019 Annual Meeting Minutes, Final Financial Statement for 2019, Projected Operating Budget for 2020 Are Distributed By Mail
February 29: BALLOTS AND PROXIES DUE, 5:00pm
March 7: ANNUAL MEETING—BALLOTS ARE COUNTED
March 8 – March 21: Election Results and Draft of Annual Meeting Minutes Posted on the Website
November 25: Nomination Form Distributed By Mail in Annual Packet
December 27: NOMINATION FORMS DUE, 5:00pm
